  1. You can also hammer a screw driver through the filter and use that to unscrew it if you don't have any of the special tools.

  2. Hey ChrisFix, could you tell me how to replace the valve cover gasket in my car? its leaking. Thanks in advance.

  3. My car takes 5w30 normally, but I've read forums where people use 0w30 in the winter months because its a little thinner at cold temperatures. Anyone here have any experience with that?

  4. Hey Chris, ever have the filter slip out of your hand and land on you head? Happened to me lol

  5. i love you videos your slow but get down to the point i like you videos to change oil for firsttimers so detailed

  6. Can I just say that you dont NEED gloves…I am 14 and have been doing oil changes since I was 10 and I have never wore a pair of gloves. If you don't want to get oil on you then sure you can but you don't have to.

Oh and with the hand tools sometimes you need power tools. I just changed the oil in my parents rig last week and the oil plug was rusted to the pan due to all of the rain that we were getting. so I used an IMPACT drill and I got the plug off in a couple of minutes, after fussing with it with a wrachet and socket for an hour. But other than that this is a great video for others that haven't done any changes before.
